A Peek At Our Week

Last weekend was BUSY to say the least (and included a gigantic pink elephant).

The Flower Girl & Ring Bearer
It began with a wedding.  Both of the kiddos did wonderful in their roles.  My hubbee and I were honestly shocked that LuLu walked down the aisle without rehearsal and in front of a crowd of people.  She was a ham though and soaked up all of the attention.  She will always surely amaze you when you least expect it.   Kam actually didn't screech when he had to put the tux on either.  In fact, he rather was pleased to look like "James Bond" he thought.  Joe performed the ceremony and he is pleased to say that he has retired now. ;)  He has been the officiant for three of his five siblings.  And me?  I was busy chasing after all three of them.  The whole day was a success and I think this moment sums it up the best for me...

She is so willful to be free and he will not take any fault in the matter.

With their cousin

Met a new cousin!

Although the weekend was packed with a wedding and visiting with both sides of my husband's family there was lots of joy in those fun-filled moments.  On the long way home we made our road trip more exciting with some traditional roadie fair... Hen House and a stop for antiquing at The Pink Elephant.

Paul Bunyan gone bad (and creepy)

She laid her head on the elephant's hoof out of love

Overall, like the reviews of The Pink Elephant, the antiques are waaaaay overpriced.  The place is expansive and filled with lots of cool items, but be prepared to search for your treasures.  I've been wanting to stop their for years and my dream was finally realized.  The kiddos loved the freakish oddities outside and the ice cream of course.  It was the best impromptu pit stop ever.
