Recently, I mentioned the affects of
retouching in our society. Then I realized that in this App Age that nearly every photograph I take gets "retouched" in one way or another. It blows my mind how amazing technology has gotten and how for just $0.99 anyone can become a photo editor. I've done a lot of research on apps and thought it might be helpful to share my favorites with you. First, a look at all the photo editing apps on my iPhone.

Afterlight is amazing for cropping pics with its unique alphabet and numbers options as well as several different shapes to choose from.
I don't use the filters or cropping on this app at all. I use other apps for those purposes. |

| My original fave, Snapseed, is the bomb for cropping and fine tuning your pics. Still use it all the time. |

My new all-time favorite app is A Beautiful Mess. This app is crazy amazing with tons of borders, fonts, and doodles to add to your pics.
I could spend all day playing with this one -- for real. It's that good. |

Typic is an all in one app for adding filters, font, frames, and design elements to your photos.

All of these apps are so much fun to play around with. I get a lot of joy from creating one-of-kind images. I have become quite accustomed to my favorite features on each app and I would say that 80% of the time I use more than one app on a single photo. The other 20% of the time I don't edit my photos at all and those I usually share on my
Instagram or
